Heritage: the EB16-12-PRO belongs to the EB Pro generation of the EB single-toggle jaw crusher range — a new generation developed by FLSmidth on the EB platform it inherited from thyssenkrupp (modular bolted housing, bionics-informed swing jaw and front wall, redesigned wear elements, hydraulic gap adjustment) — a successor design rather than a renamed version of the earlier standard EB models. The EB line itself was inherited from ThyssenKrupp when FLSmidth acquired the thyssenkrupp Mining business on 31 August 2022. The original ThyssenKrupp-era EB models are catalogued separately: EB12-10, EB14-11, EB16-12, EB20-15.
